Author: Adarsha K N & Ravi B.C

ABSTRACT
This article looks at the impact of the contemporary digital technologies on commerce
education. The study involved a sample of 200 students who were enrolled in different
learning institutions. The research evaluated knowledge of students, confidence, benefit and
challenge perceptions and future career impact expectations using structured questionnaire.
The results provide the evidence that students are generally aware and partially prepared to
use digital tools, as they are conscious about the individualizing possibility, as well as ethical
issues of novel technology. They were found to be equally prepared when compared to the
rural backgrounds and urban background, though increased awareness was closely associated
with the more positive attitude. The paper highlights the importance of more training, ethics,
and closing digital divides among learners. The implications of the results include curriculum

A HOLISTIC AND TRANSFORMATIVE APPROACH TO HIGHER EDUCATION IN INDIA: BRIDGING GLOBAL PERSPECTIVES WITH LOCAL REALITIES
Author: Boregowda M. A.

ABSTRACT
Higher education in India is undergoing a profound transformation shaped by global
influences, national aspirations, and the pressing demands of the twenty-first century.
Traditional models, often centered on rote learning and discipline-based silos, are proving
inadequate for preparing students to thrive in a rapidly changing, knowledge-driven, and
interconnected world. This article explores the scope of holistic and transformative
approaches in Indian higher education by drawing from global best practices, national policy
reforms, and empirical evidence. Using a mixed-methods framework, the study combines
surveys, interviews, and document analysis to examine how holistic pedagogy—emphasizing
critical thinking, creativity, emotional intelligence, and ethical reasoning—can enhance
graduate outcomes. The findings reveal widespread recognition of the importance of
interdisciplinary learning, soft skills, and experiential education, but also highlight systemic
barriers such as rigid curricula, resource constraints, and uneven institutional quality. The
article concludes with actionable suggestions for policymakers, institutions, and educators,

IMPACT OF ONLINE CUSTOMER REVIEWS AND RATINGS ON CONSUMER PURCHASE DECISIONS: A STUDY OF E-COMMERCE PLATFORMS IN INDIA
Author: Divyasri S.V.

ABSTRACT
In the digitally driven Indian marketplace, consumer decisions on e-commerce platforms are
increasingly influenced by online customer reviews and ratings. This study examines how
review valence (positive/negative), volume, credibility and star-ratings affect purchase
intention, brand perception, and actual buying behaviour across Indian e-commerce
platforms. The research draws on secondary empirical findings and three case studies of
Indian e-commerce contexts to illustrate mechanisms, impacts, and practical implications.
Results indicate that higher star-ratings and review volumes tend to increase purchase
intention, while negative reviews—even though fewer—can have disproportionate influence
on consumer trust and decision delays. Review credibility (verified purchases, reviewer
reputation) moderates these effects. The study identifies key challenges such as fake or
manipulated reviews, review-fatigue and information overload, and offers solutions including
platform-driven authenticity protocols, review-display governance, and consumer education.
Findings hold significance for marketers, platform designers and policy-makers seeking to
optimise the role of customer-generated feedback in India‟s e-commerce ecosystem.

GST 2.0 IN INDIA: SECTOR-WISE IMPACT AND ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION – STUDY WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO SELECT SECTORS
Author: S R Ganesh

ABSTRACT
The Goods and Services Tax (GST) has been one of India’s most transformative tax reforms,
aimed at streamlining indirect taxation and fostering transparency in trade. The introduction
of GST 2.0 in September 2025 marks a landmark development in the country’s indirect tax
framework. This reform simplifies the previous multi-tier structure into a two-slab system of
5% and 18%, with an additional 40% slab applicable to luxury and sin goods. The revised
structure seeks to enhance consumption, simplify compliance, and improve economic
efficiency across various sectors. This study examines the sector-wise impacts of GST 2.0
using secondary data, focusing on key industries such as pharmaceuticals, real estate, textiles,
agriculture, automobiles, consumer durables, and hospitality. The analysis reveals that the
reform has lowered consumer costs, increased the affordability of essential goods and
services, and stimulated sectoral demand and growth. Furthermore, compliance
enhancements—such as pre-filled returns and expedited refund mechanisms—have
significantly reduced the operational burden on MSMEs and retailers. Although certain
sectors continue to face transitional challenges, the overall evidence suggests that GST 2.0
serves as a catalyst for economic transformation, fostering formalization, enhancing supply
chain transparency, and advancing India’s goals for sustainable and inclusive growth. The
study concludes that while GST 2.0 has positively impacted both stakeholders, continuous
policy refinement and targeted awareness programs are necessary to ensure inclusive and
sustainable tax compliance.

CUSTOMER PERCEPTION AND SATISFACTION TOWARD FINTECH-ENABLED MICROFINANCE SERVICES IN KARNATAKA
Author: B.A. Karunakara Reddy & Hema N

ABSTRACT
The rapid integration of Financial Technology (FinTech) into microfinance has reshaped
access to financial services, particularly in developing regions. This study examines customer
perception and satisfaction toward FinTech-enabled Microfinance Institutions (MFIs) in
Karnataka, where technology-driven microfinance initiatives are expanding. Primary data
were collected from 400 clients across eight districts using a structured questionnaire, and
analyzed through descriptive statistics, correlation, multiple regression, and Structural
Equation Modelling (SEM). The results reveal that perceived usefulness, trust, and ease of
use significantly influence customer satisfaction, while transparency shows a modest effect.
Education and age act as moderating factors, indicating that younger and more educated
clients are more responsive to FinTech adoption. The findings confirm that FinTech enhances
the operational efficiency, accessibility, and service quality of MFIs but highlight continuing
challenges related to digital literacy and trust. The study provides managerial, policy, and
technological recommendations to strengthen customer-centered FinTech practices and
promote inclusive financial participation across Karnataka.

INFLUENCE OF ICT TOOLS ON CLOSING THE DIGITAL GAP IN DEGREE COLLEGES: INSIGHTS FROM RURAL MYSORE (KARNATAKA), INDIA
Author: H. S. Kongalappa & Deepika

ABSTRACT
The digital divide continues to be one of the most significant barriers to inclusive higher
education in India, particularly in rural areas. With the increasing integration of technology in
education, Information and Communication Technology tools are viewed as key enablers in
bridging this gap. This study examines the impact of ICT tools on reducing the digital divide
among degree students in rural Mysore District, Karnataka. A mixed-method approach was
employed, involving surveys with 300 students and 30 faculty members from three rural
degree colleges, focus group discussions, and direct field observations. This research
analyzes student’s digital access, literacy, use of ICT enabled learning, and their effect on
academic engagement. The findings reveal that ICT tools, especially mobile friendly
asynchronous learning resources, smart classrooms, WhatsApp based communication, and
localized bilingual digital content, have improved access, engagement, and learning
outcomes. However, challenges persist in the form of connectivity issues, limited device
availability, a lack of localized content, and inadequate digital skills. This study concludes
that bridging the digital divide in rural colleges requires a combination of affordable
technology, teacher training, community partnerships, and sustained policy support.

THE INFLUENCE OF GENERATIVE AI ON THE EDUCATION SYSTEM IN INDIA – A SYSTEMATIC APPROACH TO TRANSFORMATION, CHALLENGES, AND POLICY IMPERATIVES
Author: Mahesh R

ABSTRACT
The systematic literature review emphasises how Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI)
tools, such as ChatGPT, Gemini AI, Grok, Perplexity, etc., shape an educational system in
India by presenting opportunities and application challenges. In line with the National
Education Policy (NEP) 2020, GenAI supports scalable, personalized, and adaptive learning,
essential for a diverse population and high teacher-to-student ratios (Sharma, 2023; Tambat,
2024). The AI tools improve the best content delivery by enabling instant translation and
producing quality materials in regional languages while streamlining administrative tasks for
educators (Reddy, 2024).
The study identifies significant blockades to equitable adoption of AI tools. The digital gap
remains a primary concern, as rural India's inadequate infrastructure and low digital literacy
may worsen socio-economic disparities by restricting access to AI various resources for
marginalized students (Lourdu et al., 2025; PMC, 2023). Risks to academic integrity from
easy content generation and concerns about student over-reliance and reduced critical
thinking require prompt institutional action (Gupta, A.; Mahaseth, H.; Bajpai, 2025). Data
privacy and algorithmic bias also present ethical challenges that demand effective
governance (A. Damodaran & Shiva Kanwar, ICRIER, 2025; Kadam, 2025). An AI
Preparedness Framework is recommended to focus on infrastructure investment, mandatory
AI literacy for students and teachers, and a transition to competency-based assessments to
uphold educational standards. Thus, integrating GenAI in the education system successfully
in India requires a vigilant, human-centered, and policy-led approach to ensure equitable
educational development and to enhance students' knowledge across the various disciplines
(Lulu Gao, 2025). Since India has been advancing in the technology arena and aiming to
achieve Vikasith Bharath by 2047, the strategic integration of GenAI could bridge the gap
between academia and industry. This article illuminates various aspects of GenAI and its
contribution to education to enlighten young minds.

GREEN MARKETING AS AN EDUCATIONAL POLICY INGREDIENT TO ENVIRONMENTAL CITIZENSHIP
Author: Nagamani C G & Anouja Mohanty

ABSTRACT
This is a review study where the researcher examines the ways in which the application of
green marketing concept into educational policy structures can enhance environmental
citizenship and promote sustainable behaviour among the learning institutions. The research
is based on the synthesis of theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented views of the
intersection of sustainability education, behavioral communication, and institutional
governance rather than reading lists and other related areas through the use of the scoping
review methodology of Arksey and O'Malley (2005). The review is based on Scopus
database and UNESCO and OECD repositories and determines the key policy entry points,
including the design of the curriculum, the branding of the institution, operational
management, and community partnerships, in which entry point green marketing can be
applied ethically and effectively.
The results indicate that whole-institution strategies facilitated by the ESD 2030 Roadmap by
UNESCO and sustainability frameworks by the European Commission are the most effective
when used with behaviorally informed strategies like nudges, boosts, and social marketing
campaigns. The combination of these interventions with open communication and the ability
to report on sustainability increases greatly pro-environmental attitudes, trust, and civic
engagement among the students. The result of the analysis also highlights the necessity of
ethical governance as the means of avoiding greenwashing and promoting integrity in
communication. Besides, the consistency between the green marketing strategies and the
OECD Learning Compass 2030 competencies allows education systems to make
sustainability rhetoric actionable in terms of citizenship output.
The research findings also conclude that green marketing can be institutionalized in
educational policies by means of systemic, transparent, and competency-based models that
can help turn educational institutions into a source of sustainable culture and civic duty.
Future studies need to undertake longitudinal and equity-based studies to determine the long
term effect of these policy integrations on the development of environmental citizenship.

ABSTRACT
The Reserve Bank of India has been taking many initiatives to transform the Digital Public
Infrastructure (DPI) of India, where the new initiative of the Unified Lending Interface (ULI)
is expected to transform the lending landscape in India by providing lenders with digital
access to borrowers' data from diverse sources and offering frictionless credit. This paper is
intended to elucidate the concept of the Unified Lending Interface, its evolution, key features,
probable benefits, and challenges, which was earlier known as a Public Tech Platform for
Frictionless Credit (PTPFC). This study also elaborated on the prospective mechanism of the
ULI. This is a paper conceptual nature, and the secondary data has been collected from
multiple sources. It is found that the ULI will be added to the new Trinity of JAM-UPI-ULI,
which significantly contributes to transforming the Indian financial ecosystem. The study
concluded that the ULI streamlines the lending process, seamless flow of digital information,
reduces the credit appraisal time and cost, and smoothens the lending process, especially for
rural and MSME borrowers. The authors opined that the ULI creates a more inclusive
financial ecosystem; however, the data privacy of the borrowers must be safeguarded.

INTEGRATING POLICY, EDUCATION, AND TECHNOLOGY: ADVANCING TIMELINESS AND TRANSPARENCY IN FINANCIAL REPORTING FOR THE INDIAN BANKING SECTOR
Author: Satish Kumar K, Lokanadha Reddy M & M Subramanyam

ABSTRACT:
This review is on the integration of the government, educational and technological policy to
enhance the timeliness and transparency in the financial reporting in the Indian banking
industry. The issue of uniform implementation of these changes still persists with regards to
the community and the privately sector banks even after the major regulatory changes as
included in the Financial Sector Legislative Reforms Commission (FSLRC), Indian
Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and Basel III Regulations. The regulation by the government
has indeed gone a long way in aligning the financial reporting, but loopholes still prevail
particularly in expediency of reporting.
Another area the review examines is the nature of the financial literacy programs and
education programs that are directed towards equipping banking practitioners with the skills
and capabilities that they can use in addressing the evolving reporting standards. Although
these programs have been successful in enhancing regulatory knowledge, the coverage of
financial literacy programs has not been uniform with rural communities and smaller banks
having huge obstacles to coverage. Introducing financial literacy into the university curricula
may help close these gaps and create a new generation of professionals who will be able to
adhere to high reporting standards.
Increased accuracy, timeliness, and transparency in financial reporting have been
demonstrated to be possible with technological innovations, such as artificial intelligence
(AI), blockchain, and cloud computing. There has been however an uneven adoption of such
technologies so that larger urban banks have benefited more than their rural counterparts. To
close this divide, it is necessary to provide specific assistance to technology integration in
smaller and local banks.
This paper demonstrates the importance of the holistic strategy that would include the
adoption of more robust enforcement of regulatory policies, further financial literacy
services, and the application of the technological tools on a large scale. The next round of
research must be based on the empirical research to determine the direct effects of these
interventions on the financial reporting performance and investigate how these strategies,
when applied together, may yield a greater effect on the overall transparency of the Indian
banking industry and its resilience.

DIGITAL FINANCIAL INCLUSION AND EDUCATION EQUITY IN INDIA (2015-2025): CHALLENGES AND OPPORTUNITIES
Author: Theertha Prasad K

ABSTRACT
India has undertaken a transformative digital journey, leveraging its layered digital public
infrastructure, known as the India Stack, to achieve major progress in Digital Financial
Inclusion (DFI). This infrastructure, which includes foundational elements like identity and
instant retail payments (UPI), has lowered the costs of identification and transactions at a
massive scale. National policies, such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan-Dhan Yojana (PMJDY),
have catalyzed widespread financial access.
Concurrently, the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has institutionalized technology use
and inclusive financing mechanisms to advance the goal of education equity. The study
analyzes the crucial intersection where digital finance mediates the entire education financing
lifecycle, encompassing application, verification, disbursement, and payment. Digital tools
facilitate the seamless disbursement of scholarships via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) and
reduce friction in fee payments through integrated platforms like Bharat BillPay.
Furthermore, efforts like the VidyaLakshmi portal and credit guarantee schemes (CGFSEL)
aim to expand access to education credit and bridge financing gaps for higher education.
However, the research identifies that persistent inequalities across gender, geography, and
income threaten to undermine these gains. Significant challenges remain in translating basic
account ownership into meaningful usage, particularly among women, resulting in account
inactivity. Furthermore, uneven device ownership and connectivity, as documented in
national surveys, sustain a digital divide that affects remote and low-income households.
The paper concludes that achieving genuine education equity requires policy interventions
that move beyond mere access. Key recommendations emphasize coordinating digital
infrastructure with financial protection, including scaling integrated digital and financial
literacy programs, utilizing purpose-bound digital transfers such as e-RUPI vouchers for leakproof scholarship delivery, and implementing infrastructure models (like KFON) to close the
critical last-mile connectivity and device gap for vulnerable segments.

DIGITAL LITERACY AND FINANCIAL EDUCATION: A DUAL PATHWAY TO EMPOWER FUTURE CITIZENS UNDER EDU VISION 2035
Author: Uma K

ABSTRACT:
The rapid digital transformation of societies demands a rethinking of educational priorities to
ensure citizens are equipped with essential skills for the future. This study explores the
integration of digital literacy and financial education as a dual pathway to empower students
under the framework of Edu Vision 2035. The research aims to examine the combined impact
of dual literacy on student preparedness, analyze demographic variations in literacy
outcomes, and evaluate current curriculum practices.
This study examines the integration of digital literacy and financial education as a unified
framework for empowering students to become future-ready citizens under Edu Vision 2035.
Using a mixed-methods design, survey data were collected from 300 students across socioeconomic and geographic categories, complemented by qualitative insights from learners and
educators. Reliability tests confirmed excellent data quality (α > 0.97), and factor analysis
revealed six distinct dimensions of integrated literacy—digital competence, financial
awareness, digital-financial integration, technology readiness, information application, and
ethical responsibility—explaining 87.78% of total variance. Regression analyses
demonstrated that Integrated Digital–Financial Literacy (IDFL) significantly influences
student preparedness (R² = 0.301, p < 0.001), while socio-economic status emerged as a key
determinant of program effectiveness. Furthermore, inclusivity and experiential learning
strongly predicted policy alignment with Edu Vision 2035 (R² = 0.818). The findings affirm
that holistic integration of dual literacy enhances readiness, inclusion, and sustainable
educational transformation. The study recommends embedding IDFL within mainstream
curricula, strengthening teacher training, and ensuring equitable digital access to realize
national educational goals.
